Happy New Year! Tonight hundreds of thousands of people lined the banks of the river Thames in London to watch the 2014 / 2015 New Years fireworks. As predicted it stayed dry but cold, and the fireworks went off without a hitch. The Shard beamed out the highest ever New Year’s Eve countdown and then on the stroke of midnight 15 tonnes of fireworks lit up the sky of London in a show that lasted over five minutes.
