Severe Weather Warning for South West, South Coastal and Great Southern forecast districts.

A severe weather warning of severe gales has been issued for parts of WA southwest, from Busselton to Katanning to Bremer Bay. This includes people in, near or between the following towns: Albany, Bridgetown, Margaret River and Busselton.

A low pressure system is expected to move south of the State during Wednesday morning, bringing winds of up to 100kph and damaging gusts of up to 125mph. The winds are likely to develop between 8am and 2pm on Wednesday 3rd June, and could cause significant damage to homes an property.

Abnormally high tides which may cause sea water flooding of low lying areas are also forecast for the South West forecast district.
