Established in 1965, Margaret Green Animal Rescue is the oldest and largest animal rescue charity founded in Dorset. Every year we care for over 1,200 animals, many of which have been abandoned, unwanted and ill-treated, and rehome them to loving owners. Our Church Knowle Animal Sanctuary and Visitor Centre is free to visit between 10am and 4pm. Come and meet the animals at our site set in some of Dorset’s most beautiful scenery. Why not bring a picnic, spend a few hours and enjoy seeing for yourself the first-class care our rescue animals receive whilst they are with us. We also have a tea and gift shop for you to enjoy.
