Emma welcomes you to a simple wee touring caravan park and camping site near Carlisle and Gretna Green. The caravan site only takes a maximum of 8 units, so is always relatively peaceful and quiet. Being a fairly basic wee campsite you can’t expect luxury but we do a have a well kept WC, washroom and hot shower as well as a washing up shed and BBQ area. Have a look at the caravan park photos on the “About Us” page of the site's website. The campsite is set in the wooded landscape of Netherby Estate, part of the Debatable Lands of the Scottish Borders. You’ll find the campsite surroundings much quieter than the congested central Lake District, yet with plenty to explore. The area is covered in artefacts of its turbulent past with many tower houses and castles to visit and the Border Esk and River Liddle provide excellent fishing opportunities. Gretna Green and historic Carlisle are also close by. The caravan park lies approximately 9 miles off the M6 / M74, and 3 miles off the A7, do come and visit as a convenient overnight stop over or for a longer sojourn in the borders. We are a very handy and peaceful overnight stop if you’re heading further north from further south, and vice versa. But why not stop a while longer and discover what’s going on in the Borders?
