Conveniently located on the Pacific Highway, 5km north of Hexham Bridge, the Gardens is a great place to take a break.
Featuring 30ha of tranquil landscaped gardens displaying the beauty and diversity of Australian native flora and exotics in a natural bush setting, the Botanic Collection includes more than 3000 living specimens displayed in Theme Gardens. The beauty of the plants and the tranquillity of the gardens are accessed via one of the several walking trails & tracks providing the ultimate visitor experience. The Botanic Walk (1.8km,) which is partially paved, starts and finishes at the Visitors Centre and takes in the main theme gardens including plants of the Hunter Valley and the Succulent Garden, considered one of Australia’s best and should not be missed.
The walks also offer the chance to see native wildlife and numerous bird species.
The Kookaburra Café offers group catering, Devonshire Teas, light lunches, great coffee, drinks & snacks. Purchase that special gift in our Gift Shop or perhaps a work of art displayed in the Gallery.
