Svendsens beach is a secluded, friendly, eco-sensitive accommodation retreat on the quiet side of Great Keppel Island, Australia - a home away from home.

We are the only site away from the noisy and busy western settlement on the island.

Our beachfront property specializes in giving guests a true island eco-holiday, away from shops, roads and crowds. We have a beautifully landscaped and comfortably set up permanent glamping retreat. It is small, friendly and clean. Two luxury safari tents with covered decks and solid timber beds, a timber studio-cabin and a rental house can accommodate a total of ten people.

We provide bed linen and hot showers, all cooking and dining equipment, and maps and info about the island. Guests bring their own food and towels.

We cater to those who want a luxury glamping experience that won’t break the bank - to hear the waves and wind through the palm trees and encounter birds and animals. Most of our guests go walking during the day or kayak to the pristine tidal lagoon, or swim and snorkel around the corals.
In winter whales are often spotted swimming past and from November to February turtles come ashore to lay their eggs on the beaches.
