Willow Springs has utilised 5 existing buildings and turned them into self-contained accommodation offering true bush hospitality and quiet, secluded settings. Private and comfortable accommodation for small or large groups set in the spectacular Flinders is what Willow Springs is all about.
The Homestead, former home of the Reynolds family (consisting of 8 children) is typical of homesteads built in the Flinders Ranges in the 1950's wool boom. Located in a picturesque setting, this large spacious building features wide verandahs and a lawn area overlooking a small gum tree lined creek. The 4 bedrooms, consisting of 3 queen beds, 3 singled beds and 1 double bed, accommodates up to 12 people.
The Overseers Cottage is a the former 'School of the Air' building accommodating up to 4 people. Set amongst the native pines, this unique cottage has a panoramic view of the Willow Springs homestead and surrounding hills. Relax on the deep set verandah and experience the atmosphere and ever changing contrast of the outback colours.
The Jackaroos Cottage is the former stationhands' questers featuring a splendid open fireplace and flagstone floors and is located adjacent to the original homestead. The 2 bedroomed cottage accommodates up to 5 people and sitting around the outside fire is an excellent place to enjoy the beauty of the night sky.
Moxans Hut is located 15km east of the homestead through a rugged gorge and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. The hut has 2 main rooms, open fireplace, gas and wood stoves, solar powered lights and basic bush amenities. Moxans is a true bush setting.
Finally the Shearer's Quarters is a great place for larger groups to meet and connect with yourself, family and friends, your hosts, nature, the past and the present. This building consists of 11 bedrooms, a large dining area that has an open fireplace and a large common room that opens out onto decking a d pergola area. The wood and gas BBQs and outside firering offer a real bush setting that overlooks a small gum tree lined creek. This building accommodates up to 33 people.
Each self-contained building has all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, 2 blankets and pillow per bed, cot and high chairs and linen is also available for hire. All you need to bring is your own food.
