Following the end of the Middle Ages, the emperors and archdukes of Habsburg began to collect the knowledge of the time in the form of magnificent works of art. Throughout the centuries they created a cosmos of art and beauty that is resurrected in the Kunstkammer Vienna, with 2,200 works of art telling stories of their creators, collectors and rulers.
Last, but not least, admire superb instruments played by famous musicians and composers, and sumptuous armor and arms documenting centuries of European history in the Neue Burg; the former imperial winter palace.
