Everything is magnificent in Milan: the widespread wealth, the number and the elegance of the palaces, the

friendly nature of its people; the quiet life; the beauty of the place, among the double circle of its walls; and,

the people’s passion, the Circus, and the great arcades of the Theater; the Temples, the Palatine palace and

the wealthy Mint; the overcrowded fence of the Hercules Thermal baths; the peristyles decorated by marble

ornaments; and the walls, surrounded by a moat like a fortification. Everything competes in beauty and

opulence, so that even comparing it to Rome, don’t diminish it.

With such words the roman poet Decimus Magnus Ausonius described Milan in 4th

Seventeen centuries have passed, and our intent now, with “Milano da Vedere” project, is to let us

discover, or rediscover, the artistic and historical treasures that Milan is hiding, often even to itself.

Down the streets of the town, often inside the area once circled by “Navigli”canals, the traces of

a glorious past are willing to, and must tell those stories, that should be known again, both by the

born and bred Milanese, as well as by the tourists.

We propose a virtual itinerary, using the tools that internet provides nowadays, and then its

realization thanks to a series of Tours in streets, palaces and churches of Milan. A set of itineraries

that goes beyond the classical postcard picture; take for instance Duomo, the Castle, the Last

Supper Church, Brera: even if those are astonishing locations, they are only a small part of what we

will discover with our Tours. They will be only a symbol of the greater beauty of Milan.
