The Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic interconnects the areas and people and rich cultural and natural heritage along the onetime WW battlefield – the Isonzo Front (Soča Front). It is a memorial to all who suffered in the time of the 1st World War and a warning against wars which should never happen again. Above all it promotes the value of peace and the opportunities for common development.
Guided tours along the Walk of Peace offer to a visitor an active relaxation in the beautiful, tranquil, unspoiled nature, which receives its character from the river Soča (Isonzo), medium-high and high mountains, flocks of sheep and goats, still active alps in the summertime and the history of the First World War.
The guide service is part of the Walk of Peace Visitor centre, where trained guides are available to guide you along the Walk of Peace, i.e. through the heritage of the Isonzo Front, natural beauties, culinary delights... The program for a guided tour that meets the desires can be made upon previous appointment both for an individual or a group. Guided tours in Slovenian, English, German, Italian and some other languages run throughout the year. Join us in a guided tour or visit us in our Visitor centre, where also souvenirs can be bought.
