The Chernivtsi Regional Museum of Folk Architecture and Life is an original ensemble of Ukrainian national heritage that preserves houses, household, industrial and public buildings of the old village of Bukovina for future generations.
July 5, 1986 the first expositions were open for review - "Khotyn" and "West (Zaheedne) Podnistrovia".
The museum is the landscape complex of architectural monuments of folk architecture of the late ХІХ- early XX century, which has about 35 buildings, including four peasant farms, smithy, inn, windmills, village council, and wooden church with a bell tower.
In general, the museum collection number about 9 thousand ethnographic items, many of which are authentic masterpieces.
Museum supports the development of folk crafts and handicrafts, is engaged in popularization of national traditions and customs.
