The property has an interesting history, having been established as a soldier settlement farm following WWI. It had 14 different owners in a 17 year period before being taken over by the Funslow family who lived here for 42 years and raised their family of 6 children in the original 3 bedroom house. Another family then lived here for 18months before we arrived in 1975. During the 70s and 80s we operated the property as a retreat centre, providing accommodation and a listening ear to people seeking a quiet change to the situation of their lives. More recently we developed the craft gallery and ceramics studio and now that our boys have moved out we have converted our retreat accommodation into self contained tourist accommodation so please
" be our guests and enjoy the high country."
