Documents and memorabilia relate to the private Midland Railway Company and other rail in the area. The museum is a repository of local family histories, births and deaths and other social history from the area.
A new Rail Shed has been constructed by the City of Greater Geraldton which houses restored rolling stock and carriages on loan from Rail Heritage WA. The steam loco 'O' 218 is now housed there and a carriage will be brought to Walkaway by the end of the year.
The displays are being refurbished and refreshed and new technology is being added to bring this unique museum to life for visitors.
