According to the International Scale of River Difficulty the Tara river is categorised into III-V grades, and therefore finds its place among the world’s most attractive rivers such as the Colorado and the Zambezi. Tara is under UNESCO protection.
Rafting on the Tara is an adventure and relaxation at the same time, and it is unforgettable experience and cognition of primeval value and beauty of nature for each visitor.
Duration of rafting depends on the river level, weather conditions and number of persons in aboat. In May, when the water level is the highest, rafting lasts for 45 minutes, and in August and September it lasts for 3-4 hours.
Inflatable rubber boats especially made for white water rafting are used for Rafting on the Tara. The boats can hold from 8-10 people.
The tourists going rafting on the Tara gets all necessary equipment:
neoprene costumes and boots
safety jacket
helmet and paddle
and in case of rain tourists get a raincoat as well.
In rafting, a skipper plays an important role, he steers the boat and he is the guide during rafting. The skippers have completed training course and they have Certificates issued by IRF (International Rafting Federation). Before the start of rafting the skipper gives instructions about te behaviour during rafting. Tourists can take their cameras during rafting, and they are kept in special bags or barrels hermetically closed. We have breaks at the most beautiful places in order to take photos and refreshment.
White water rafting represents exciting escape from everyday life. It is a mixture of adventure, sports and active holiday, and that kind of challenge you should not miss.

We also offer tours trough Perucica Rainforest ( deepest primeval forest in Europe ), National park Sutjeska, National park Durmitor, Zelengora mountain ( with 11 lakes on it ), canyoning trough Nevidio canyon, staying at Trnovacko Lake ( in the foothill of Maglic mountain ), climbing Maglic ( the highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2.386 m, and from there, when the weather is nice, you can see the Adriatic Sea, Skadarsko Lake etc.)
Our campsite is made of stone and wood, unique houses and bungalows like watermills, we have our own restaurant and only domestic and organic food is on our menu. Take a deep breath and enjoy with us!
