The Long Walk Experience
Enjoy spectacular views of The Castle during this 30 minute round trip, passing Frogmore House and The Royal Dairy. Originally planted by Charles II, The Long Walk serves today as the state entrance to Windsor Castle. While all can walk, access has been limited to Horse Drawn Hackney Carriages since 1849.
£40 per carriage, seating either 4 or 6 dependent on carriage. No need to book, walk up only. Call us at 9am on the day to confirm we are in town. We run from midday from outside The Castle.
The Great Park Explorer
Enjoy a guided tour of Windsor’s historical sites along the route, a 60 minute round trip into the heart of the Park, down the full 3 mile Long Walk drive from the Castle gates to The 1829 Copper Horse statue of George III. An opportunity to ride into The Deer Park, established by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, with its 800 strong herd introduced from the Balmoral Estate. £80 per carriage, seating either 4 or 6 dependent on carriage. The Windsor Return
Enjoy a unique trip into Windsor through The Great Park and down the 2.5 mile Long Walk to the Gates of Windsor Castle. Enjoy breathtaking views of Windsor from The Copper Horse and perhaps be lucky enough to spot the 700 strong Deer herd. Leaving at 11am from Bishopsgate in Englefield Green, returning at 5pm. The carriages leave from the Queen Victoria statue outside the Castle walls for a 30-minute tour through Windsor and down the Long Walk to Home Park or for the 1-hour tour continuing on to Great Park, via the deer park. Both tours return to town by the same route.
