The gardens offer a tranquil place to visit for the day, or simply to wander around and relax for a few hours of fresh air. The garden highlights throughout the season include bluebells, delphiniums, camellias and roses and the stunning 'white garden'.
The hall has a special and unique atmosphere of grandeur meets a family home. A tour of Renishaw hall is a fantastic opportunity to see the place where generations of Sitwell's lived, entertained and drew inspiration to write and create. Each room has a real sense of history of the family members who inhabited the hall, including the celebrated literary trio - Edith, Osbert and Sacheverell Sitwell - key personalities in the artistic and literary world in the early part of the 20th century.
Tours of the hall are every Friday at 1pm and 2.30pm in the season and weekends in August. They last approximately 1 hour and booking is advised. The gardens are open from the end of March until the end of September, Wednesday to Sunday from 10.30 until 4.00.
