Our methods and ethics are probably best summarised by Sarah herself:
"I believe in, and take pride in, working with surfers at all levels - from first attempt to competition coaching. There's a joy that comes from seeing someone stand up for the first time that invigorates me every time. Equally, there's a sense of fulfilment at helping someone nail a manoeuvre that they've been working on for 3 months."
Saunton is an awesome beach to teach, learn and progress on. It helps us in the development of new standards and techniques, but it's also a great playground that we love to use to its maximum potential. The beach is known for its long, slow waves although the high tidal range can shake things up - some say they look small until you get in, although we think it's more complicated and variable. The great thing is that even when busy, you can escape the crowds along the 3 miles of shoreline and the atmosphere is mellow and friendly (none of the classic turf wars here). We hope you'll join us - whether you're looking to catch your first wave, to improve your style or to step up to competitions.
