At Butser the policy is to test the archaeology to see what would (or would not) have worked. It is a scientific experiment on the side of a hill! There are always some hands on activities to have a go at and special events throughout the year. This is also a great education centre for school/uni visits which is tailored to the curriculum.
Visitors will appreciate the new sustainable visitor centre which houses a small shop, information, hot/cold drinks and modern loo's with hot running water! Picnics and dogs on leads are welcome.
