Our collection.
The museum collection is rich and diverse. On a visit to the museum you explore the history of the area from the Ice Age through to the 1950s. You will see everything from Stone Age axe heads to Victorian farming equipment and from Second World War helmets to a rubrics cube.
You can also see the 1855 Columbian Printing Press that the Royston Crow was originally printed on. The press is one of our star objects and on certain event and workshop days you can see it in action and maybe even have a go printing on it yourself. We are also very proud of our loaned ceramics and glassware collection. This celebration of 19th and 20th century work has something for everyone in its colours, designs, shapes and structures.
