From a quiet cuppa in one of our traditional tearooms to a full day exploring and discovering our main attractions and hidden nooks and crannies, there is something here for every age and interest, whatever the weather.

In the northernmost corner of Northumberland close to the Scottish Border, the estates centre around the picturesque villages of Ford and Etal and are open all year round, offering peaceful and stunning countryside for walking, cycling and horse riding. Fishing and canoeing are popular here too. The admission-charging attractions - Heatherslaw Cornmill, Lady Waterford Hall, Etal Castle, Hay Farm Heavy Horse Centre and Heatherslaw Light Railway - are open daily from late March until end of October.
