A truly magical and peaceful place to stay. Stoughton Cross is an ancient sacred site.
The 'famous' Nut Tree Farm breakfast menu will be happily emailed to you, on request. The menu includes a traditional English breakfast of genuine oak smoked back (never ever the usual chemically painted stuff), or dry cured bacon, ‘real’ sausages, free-range eggs. Or a wholefood (vegetarian/vegan) breakfast, or reduced price continental. We take great of you and the environment by providing where possible, humane, fair-trade, organic, local quality produce, with ‘array’ of choices.
Inside our wonderful home you will find elm beams and oiled elm floors, a lovely inglenook with a No.6 Yotul woodburning stove. Two Bedroom (en) suites with lots of character fitted to a high standard, yet in keeping with the age of the house – super king or twin beds (one suite has an extra bed)– with showers, baths, bidets… One Single en suite room with a 4’ double bed (economy double) with shower and loo… Water is heated by our huge 130 tube thermal solar system and woodburning cooker, electric supplementing. We are never without hot water.
Nut Tree Farm is very well placed on high ground for Wells, Glastonbury, The Mendip Hills, Street – Clark’s Village, the Somerset Levels – nature reserves, yet away from it all. Wedmore village is a Centre of Food Excellence. So there are plenty of choices for eating out. And so in the surrounding area.
