Fisherton Mill is an award-winning independent arts complex in the South of England. Within an old converted Victorian grain warehouse, it houses a very popular café, a gallery, a selection of small studios with artists at work, an exhibition space and a delightful gallery shop. There are regular exhibitions to visit in the upstairs exhibition space, as well as frequently changed works of art and craft displayed all around the building and outside in the courtyard. The gallery shop sells unique and beautifully hand-crafted items, many of which are locally made, and is an excellent place to come and buy special presents for people of all ages, including yourself!
In the café, there is always something delicious to choose from on the menu. Lunch could be a generously filled sandwich, or something warm, perhaps even some soup in winter or a healthy salad in the summer washed down with a glass of wine, some elderflower or homemade minty limeade. And if you are more of a slow starter, a brioche, toasted fruit bread or even a waffle (with thick cream!) could be just the belated kick-start you need. In the summer, tea and cake in the courtyard could be just the thing for an afternoon break.
Fisherton Mill is open Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday 9.30am - 5.30pm. For more information, visit the Fisherton Mill website at www.fishertonmill.co.uk.
