We are perfect for cyclists as Route 4 of the National Cycle Network (The Celtic Trail) passes about 1 mile below our site, but we are also conveniently situated for a wide variety of pursuits. There is coarse fishing 0.25 miles up the mountain behind us and sea fishing from Porthcawl, Ogmore by Sea and Aberafon and, of course, great surfing. There are 4 golf courses with 9 miles of here, also gorge walking, lovely beaches, historic castles, parks, gardens, I could go on and on.
We are roughly equidistant between Cardiff and Swansea with all their great shopping as well as the Millenium Stadium, National Museum & Gallery in Cardiff, the fabulous Cardiff Bay area and the Maritime/Industrial Museum in Swansea and the stunning Gower Peninsula and beyond with it's beaches and heritage. Dylan Thomas lived in Laugharne and there is a museum set up in the boathouse where he wrote many of his works.
