Alternatively you can venture along the steep, winding wooded nature trail which leads you deep into the gorge from where you will see views of the 300ft Mynach Waterfalls. Descend 'Jacobs Ladder' ( 100 steps in one flight ) and visit 'Robber's Cave'. This longer, more challenging walk takes between 45mins and 1 1/2 hrs depending on your agility and fitness. Sorry, but this walk is not suitable for pushchairs or for those suffering from ill health due to the geological surroundings and many steps.
There is an attendant on duty at the entrance to the walk from March to end of October. Opposite the entrance there is a seasonal ice cream & gift shop and at the exit of the long walk there is a tearoom and pub. The customer car park is FREE. Entrance fee to walks.
