Courtwood Inn is a newly constructed custom log B&B. Our 5 bedroom inn was designed to showcase the views of the beautiful Sierra foothills to the central valley. Each room is spaciously designed with king size beds, private bathrooms with double sink, JASON MicroSilk spa tubs and plenty of area to kick back and enjoy the serenity of the mother lode. A scrumptious breakfast in included each morning to start your Murphys adventure off in style. After an exciting day of adventure, return to the inn to take part in some local wines, appetizers and a beautiful sunset view. Play, Relax, Refresh is our motto.
Our historic mining town is a treasure in itself, with wonderful restaurants, shopping and 23 tasting rooms along the 4 block Main St. We are a bit over 1 mile from town, close, but away from the bustle. We are the perfect location to get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature. The little town comes alive for our Irish Day celebration, the annual Frog Jump competition, the Grape Stomp competition and our holiday open house.
Day trips to Yosemite National Park, Big Trees State Park, Bear Valley ski resort, and numerous lakes, can be added to your stay at Courtwood Inn. Of course, wine tasting tours, cave tours, and gold panning can also be arranged. International flights to San Francisco are 2 1/2 hour drive, and arrivals in to San Jose, Oakland and Sacramento (closest) are a bit shorter.
