Situated in downtown Oak Harbor on beautiful Whidbey Island, the PBY-Naval Air Museum offers a unique perspective on how a sleepy farm town adapted to the arrival of a major Naval Air facility which grew to become one of America's important military training and operating Naval Air Stations. Climb into the nose turret of a PBY, try to pick up a tail-hook, fly a PBY or F-18 on our flight simulators (you can cash and noone gets hurt!), and experience many other interactive exhibits. Shop in our Ship's Store. Open Wed - Sat 11 AM - 5 PM and Sun 1-5 PM.
We now have an Aircraft Display Area open across the street from the Musuem. It features our WWII PBY-5A aircraft which actually flew form NAS Whidbey Island during World War II. The Display Area also features a WWII era staff car and various large object artifacts covering the Cold War Era through today.
