The Pool is Olympic-size (50m long) with a chute - the shark slide - for swimmers of all ages at the deep end and fun floats for kids at the shallow end. There's also a safe, warm paddling pool for the under-8s with its own dolphin waterspout. There are quiet swims for adults (no music, no unaccompanied kids or floats) and fun sessions for kids, including the inflatable swoopee, sometimes also enjoyed by older kids (and dads)! Open end May - early September. In high season (local school holidays, early July - mid August) there are longer opening hours, more fun/inflatables sessions and weekly midnight swims. Swimmers with special needs are very welcome, with friendly assistance and a pool hoist available for easy access to/from the balmy salt water.
Tickets are valid all day - you can come and go as often as you please, as long as you keep your ticket and the maximum pool/building capacity has not been reached (very occasionally, it's 1 out, 1 in!) Free parking outside and more nearby. The Pool is situated at the north end of Stonehaven's beach front. The town is well served by buses and trains from Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and further away. Buses stop on the main road nearby; train station approx 15 min walk(downhill).
