Set in beautiful and historical parkland and located just outside Cardiff, Cottrell Park opened its gates in June 1996 and now boasts two magnificent championship golf courses as well as a rich and vibrant history. The park has been sculpted and landscaped over several centuries and now lends itself to some of the picturesque views and scenes of Cardiff county.
As well as offering two 18 hole golf courses, Cottrell Park is home to many other facilities that make it an ideal stop for a day out. The Clubhouse has two cabin style dining areas, three conservatories, Merrick’s Bar, and a large patio ideal for enjoying the summer sunshine. Our two larger conservatories, as well as Tyler’s Cabin can be hired for private functions and are available with a variety of catering options. For larger occasions there is also a Marquee available for hire for weddings, parties, and functions. The Marquee also comes with a variety of catering options to choose from, its own bar, and can fit 350 people with a dance floor. As of January 2014, Cottrell Park has partnered with Spiros catering who offer a range of choices from set menu dinners to carveries.
Cottrell Park also has its own driving range, two putting practice areas, two state of the art golf simulators, snooker and pool tables, a fishing lake and nature trail for those not looking to play a full round of golf. Our golf academy offers tuition from two PGA Professionals as well as group sessions for any junior golfers looking to make some firm friends and improve their handicaps. For those looking to play one of our courses, Cottrell Park offers pull trolleys, PowaKaddies, and electric buggies, all available for hire from the Pro Shop and reception area.
